Growing up in Crofton, a small Nebraska town just south of Yankton, South Dakota, Alex enjoyed small-town living with her four younger siblings. Active in athletics during high school, she knew nursing was in her future. She attended Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and obtained her BSN.
After graduation, she took a nursing position in the Emergency Room at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She continued her education, receiving a Master's Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Currently, she works in the Emergency Department at Saunders Medical Center.
Her family resides in Ceresco where her husband works remotely. Two labs and a little one keep them busy!
