Growing up in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Sheeva K. Parbhu graduated from Millard North High School before attending the University of Notre Dame. He returned to Omaha to complete medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he met my wife, Rachel. He completed training in Internal Medicine followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Utah Health Center in Salt Lake City, Utah where he received an Outstanding Consulting Service Award. He served as Chief Fellow during his third year of GI fellowship.
Following the completion of his training, he joined the University of Utah GI Division as an Assistant Professor of Medicine during which time I was able to participate in teaching medical students, residents and fellows.

Upper endoscopy, also known as EGD, is a procedure in which a thin scope with a light and camera at its tip is used to look inside the upper digestive tract—the esophagus, stomach, and first part of the small intestine, called the duodenum.
This procedure is used to identify causes of abdominal or chest pain, nausea and vomiting, ulcers, tumors, heartburn, inflammation, bleeding and swallowing problems.

In his free time, he enjoys watching football, running, playing tennis, and spending time with his wife and children.
