Education & Medical Career
After graduating from Millard South High School she continued her education in surgical technology. She received her Associate Degree in Surgical Technology at Nebraska Methodist College in 2013. She worked for Lakeside Hospital as a surgical tech for five years. She then completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clarkson College in 2018.
Sam has over ten years of experience as a surgical technician.

- In her personal time, she enjoys traveling, reading, shopping, hunting, and spending time with her friends and family.

"I came to work at SMC because of the closeness to my home but was soon met with so many other good reasons to work at SMC. I get to utilize my skills as both a surgical tech and a nurse in multiple ways. I get to enjoy the surgery world but also get to take care of patients in a clinical, preoperative, and postoperative way. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the patients of SMC and seeing them in the multiple specialties that we offer at SMC. I also have loved getting to know and making friends with not only my teammates I work with daily but other staff members throughout the hospital."

Unique Fact
Sam went on a surgical mission trip to Africa and had the opportunity to pet cheetahs and feed elephants.
